View from one of the tunnels on the disused railway line between Olvera and Puerto Serrano, Andalucian towns to the north of Marbella.
Las Cabezas de San Juan, Arcos de la Frontera, Setenil de las Bodegas, Puerto Serrano, El Bosque, Ubrique, Torre Alhaquime and Zahara de la Sierra. Just a few lyrical, evocative names associated with the ‘white’ villages of Andalucia. And in the mountains amid the enchanting villages, lies the 36km long Via Verde de la Sierra.
Bike hire costs 12 euros per day, for a basic but perfectly adequate Merida or Orbea MTB. They need a little tuning, and I will be returning for a few days to do just that! If you are in the neighbourhood of Coripe, north west of Ronda, then make use of the Via Verde.
Update: Spent five days tuning bikes for El Cefe, Andres in the charming village of Coripe. Can only enthuse more about the cycling possibilities.
